How to masturbate.

Masturbation should be conceived of as a positive expression, as opposed to a necessary evil, as is the case with the more popular notion with which our culture is far less comfortable. For masturbation is pleasurable, can be a prelude to pleasure, a great learning experience, and the occasion for personal delight. It is a release of personal gratification that naturally satisfies our bodies on several different levels.
Repression or suspension of our bodies' natural functioning can result in a less than healthy total body well being. For instance, our bodies' function best when we breathe oxygen regularly. A healthy intake of oxygen will not cause the body harm and actually promotes positive functioning. However, an excess of oxygen to the body by over breathing can result in an unhealthy function called hyperventilation. In contrast, a deficiency of oxygen intake by the lungs can result in sluggish body function, brain damage or even death.

This same path of moderation applies through our bodies' other biological functions. Humans are innately sexual creatures in that we all have sex organs of one kind or another and are affected to varying degrees by our natural instincts to procreate. We have some cognitive ability once we mature to control our physical actions but in the end many of our needs are driven by our genetic chemistries. It would seem our only hope for self control would come from a roadmap of our bodies' chemistry. Fortunately this is not the case.

Our bodies' manage to function healthily enough given adequate amounts of nutrient intake, physical activity and subsequent emotional satisfaction. Our wellness stems from our sense of well being and inner turmoil on any level will result in body function disruption.
